Spencer FairmanEnglish Personal & Executive Assistant · Remote

For founders, business owners and busy professionals

The things you'd hand to a capable person, if you had one.

Research, planning, bookings, systems and admin, done properly. That includes the jobs that don't come with a brief. I work remotely on US Central hours.

The call is free, and there's no contract.

What I do

All of it runs the same way: we agree what done looks like, then I get on with it.

Open-ended projects
Anything with a goal but no process yet. I work out what has to happen, in what order, and who needs chasing, then run it to the end and keep you posted on the way. Recent ones: a relocation, a two-month appointment hunt, a senior job search.
Research
You tell me the decision you're trying to make. I find the options, check them properly, rule out the ones that don't hold up, and come back with a shortlist, a recommendation and the reasons. Suppliers, markets, places, people, rules.
Systems, then delegation
I build the process in Notion, ClickUp or Airtable, document it so it doesn't live in anyone's head, and hand the day-to-day to someone cheaper or to automation. That frees me for the next thing. AI where it helps, checked by me.
Travel, bookings and calendar
Flights, hotels, routes and local services, booked and confirmed, with an itinerary you can follow from your phone. Your calendar kept honest across time zones, with the prep done before each meeting.
Home, personal and financial admin
Cleaners, appointments, renewals, provider disputes, invoices and expenses: handled, logged and chased until they're closed. Inbox and calls, if you want them covered.

About

I work with a small number of clients. If you give me something, it gets done, and you'll hear how it went without having to ask.

If it can't be done, or shouldn't be, I'll tell you why and what I'd do instead. I start with whatever I'm given and keep at it until it's right.

How it starts

  1. A 15-minute call

You describe what's piling up and how you like to work. I ask what I need to, then tell you what I'd take first, how I'd go about it, and how often you'd hear from me.

  2. First handover

One real piece of work with a clear finish line and a deadline. I confirm what I've understood before I start, flag anything that changes on the way, and send a short note when it's done. Billed by the hour.

  3. Ongoing

If the first job goes well, we set a rhythm: a standing list of what's mine, a weekly check-in or a running thread, and hourly billing or a monthly retainer. No contract, no minimum hours.

Questions

Can I trust you with sensitive information?

Yes. I'll sign an NDA before you share anything. I work inside your accounts and tools, with the access you choose to give me, rather than copying data out, and I hand it all back the day we stop.

What does it cost?

From $25 an hour, or a flat monthly retainer once we know what a normal week looks like. I track my time and send it with the invoice, so you can see where the hours went. No contract, no minimum hours.

When are you available?

Core hours are 8am to 7pm US Central (UTC-6). I work weekends too, as needed rather than to a rota, and I'll take an early or late meeting when it matters. If something's urgent outside those hours, message me and I'll say when I can get to it.

What kind of work do you take on?

Long-term, short-term and one-off. A few hours a week is a common starting point. The mix usually shifts over time: the routine gets systemised or delegated, and what stays with me is the work that needs thinking about.

How do you communicate?

Whatever you already use: email, Slack, WhatsApp, phone, Zoom. Short written updates when something's done or stuck, and a call when talking is faster than a thread.

Ready when you are.

Book a 15-minute call, or email me what's piling up. I reply within one working day.
